Preston Sturges wrote the script for this fascinating look at the life of a railroad baron (Spencer Tracy) who has just committed suicide. Also starring Colleen Moore. This predates Citizen Kane by 8 years. Excellent quality.

Excellent pre code drama stars Spencer Tracy and Loretta Young as a struggling couple living in a Depression era shantytown, who face a conflict when she becomes pregnant and he wants to bolt. Also starring Glenda Farrell, Marjorie Rambeau. Note: quality isn't so great on this one.
