Excellent Cold War drama from Elia Kazan stars Fredric March as a Czech circus manager who is fed up with the communist regime and plans a daring escape to Bavaria. Also starring Terry Moore, Gloria Grahame, Cameron Mitchell, and Adolphe Menjou. Excellent quality apart from a slight hiss in the soundtrack.

Stunning film version of Arthur Miller's classic play stars Fredric March as Willy Loman, a frustrated salesman who can't come to grips with his failing life. Also starring Mildred Dunnock as Loman's loyal wife, Cameron Mitchell, and Kevin McCarthy as Biff. Decent quality.

Powerful WWI drama stars Fredric March and Warner Baxter as two French officers vying for nurse June Lang. Lionel Barrymore is great as Baxter's 60 year old father, who joins the regiment as a private! Also starring Gregory Ratoff. Directed by Howard Hawks. Excellent quality.

Sophisticated early talkie stars Nancy Carroll as a bored ex chorus girl married to a rich mogul (Frank Morgan) who gets a jolt when former flame Fredric March returns from Europe. Also starring Glenn Anders. Quality is decent, though the sound is a bit weak.

Paramount On Parade (1930) DVD available
Considered the best early talkie studio revue, the entire Paramount roster is featured. Jack Oakie, Leon Errol, and Skeets Gallagher host and the stars include Maurice Chevalier (3 segments), and a hilarious mystery with Dr. Fu- Manchu (Warner Oland), Philo Vance (William Powell), and Sherlock Holmes (Clive Brook). This is a 79m reissue, not the 102m original, and there are some blips from time to time.
