and Bennett with a wealthy miner (Paul Lukas). Excellent quality.

Wild Technicolor spectacle stars Ginger Rogers as a fashion magazine editor
coming apart mentally, while dealing with her boorish underling (Ray Milland),
a married man who loves her (Warner Baxter), and a movie star who wants to
marry her (Jon Hall). Also starring Barry Sullivan. Decent quality aside from
a blip at the very end.

In this solo Wheeler vehicle Bert plays a member of a struggling acting
troupe who gets conned into buying a Vegas ranch. Also starring Constance
Moore. Bert actually sings "Dolores" in this film with Tommy Dorsey's
orchestra while vocalist Frank Sinatra sits it out! Lesser quality.

Fascinating early talkie similar to The Sun Also Rises stars Richard
Barthelmess as the leader of a group of disillusioned ex soldiers on the
loose in Paris post WWI. Also starring Helen Chandler, David Manners,

Excellent WWI melodrama set in Kurdistan stars Cary Grant as a British
captain who falls in love with the wife of the man who saved his life (Claude
Rains), only to meet up with each other again on the battlefield. Also
starring Gertrude Michael. Very good quality, commercials edited out.

Ronald Colman stars in this sophisticated comedy of manners as a haughty

Sophisticated early talkie stars Nancy Carroll as a bored ex chorus girl married to
a rich mogul (Frank Morgan) who gets a jolt when former flame Fredric March returns
from Europe. Also starring Glenn Anders. Quality is decent, though the sound is a
bit weak.

Walter Huston stars in this classic western loosely based on the Tombstone
saga. Huston is the Earp character, Harry Carey is the Holliday character,
as they smash the "Northup" family of crooks. Andy Devine has a notable

Fun wartime farce stars Bob Hope as an inept private who tries to finance
his wedding to health nut fiance Betty Hutton by romancing three not so likable
older women. This has Hope's famous parody of the cigarette scene in "Now Voyager."
Decent quality, a few lines in the picture.

Excellent drama from Frank Borzage stars Margaret Sullavan and Douglass
Montgomery as a German couple trying to make good during the Depression, but
find things hard when she becomes pregnant. Also starring Alan Hale. One of
the first looks at conditions leading to Hitler's rise to power. Quality is
watchable but not great.

Fun fictionalized biopic stars Richard Greene as steamboat inventor Robert
Fulton, who has to deal with skeptics and saboteurs en route to building
the first steamboat. Also starring Alice Faye, Fred MacMurray, Brenda Joyce,
Andy Devine, and Ward Bond. Excellent quality.

The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt (1939) DVD available
First in the series stars Warren William as Michael Lanyard, a former thief
turned adventurer. In this one he has to deal with a spy (Ralph Morgan) out
to steal aircraft plans, while trying to frame the Lone Wolf. Also starring
Ida Lupino, Virginia Weidler, and in an early bad girl role, Rita Hayworth.
Excellent quality aside from a couple of blips in the sound.
