Exciting western stars Richard Widmark as a gunman out to figure out what happened in an Indian raid that may have left his father murdered. Donna Reed also stars as a Civil War widow whose husband was killed in the attack. Also starring John McIntire, William Campbell, and Barton MacLane. Very good quality, although a bit dark.

Bing stars here as himself, a famous singer who can't keep his mind on his singing due to his romance problems and a failing station. Stuart Erwin, Burns and Allen and plenty of early radio acts also star in this delightful romp. Good quality.

Bing has only a guest spot in this follow up. Radio station manager Jack Oakie teams with Burns and Allen to win a big contest with their wild TV like device. Lot of great fun here. Quality on this one is a bit mediocre however.

Fun early talkie musical comedy stars Maurice Chevalier as a Venice tour guide who romances American heiress Claudette Colbert and goes to work at her father's U.S. gum factory. Also starring George Barbier and Nat Pendleton. Marx Bros. fans will of course know the main song here: "You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me." Decent quality.

One of Alan Ladd's British exploits has Ladd as a swordsmaker who dons the armor of The Black Knight to take down a group of Saracens and Cornishmen (posing as Vikings) bent on dethroning King Arthur (Anthony Bushell). Also starring Patricia Medina and Peter Cushing as the head Saracen (!). Excellent quality.

Highly underrated horror classic stars Basil Rathbone as an obsessed doctor who gives his victims "the black sleep" in order to do experimental brain surgery in order to save his dead wife. Also starring an awesome cast: Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney as his victims/servants, John Carradine as a total madman, and Tor Johnson. Near perfect quality.

One of the best in the series has Blackie (Chester Morris) inadvertantly aiding in a woman escaping from prison via his magic act and now Blackie has to find the convict (Constance Dowling) as well dealing with her magician ex husband (Warren Ashe) and his new girlfriend (Trudy Marshall). Also starring Richard Lane as Farraday and George E. Stone as Runt. Excellent quality.

One of the best in the Boston Blackie series has Blackie (Chester Morris) once again being framed, this time by a psychotic killer masquerading as Blackie and getting Blackie in trouble with Inspector Farraday (Richard Lane). Also starring Nina Foch, Steve Cochran, and George E. Stone as Runt. Decent but not great quality.

Hard hitting British gangster drama stars Richard Attenborough as a babyfaced killer who marries a murder witness (Carol Marsh) to keep her quiet and then later tries to convince her to kill herself. Attenborough gives one of his best performances. Decent quality, first part of the opening credits is cut.

Bulldog Drummond Strikes Back (1934) DVD available
Excellent sequel has Ronald Colman back as Drummond, this time helping a damsel in distress (Loretta Young) whose uncle got involved with a menacing diplomat/smuggler (Warner Oland) and his thugs. Also starring Charles Butterworth as Algy and C. Aubrey Smith. Quality isn't so great on this, opening credits are blurry.
